Your role:

As Commercial Director, you are end-responsible for the entire commercial performance of the company; across both purchasing and sales. You will lead the international trading team, define the commercial strategy, and build a culture where performance, ownership, and accountability are the standard.

You are both strategic and hands-on: setting direction while staying close to the market. You will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role within the Management Team.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the overall commercial strategy of Capax Group
  • Translate growth ambitions into clear, actionable plans and targets
  • Drive revenue, margin, and profitability across all trading activities
  • Identify new markets, opportunities, and strategic partnerships

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, structure, and scale the international trading team
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on results and accountability
  • Recruit, train, and develop top commercial talent
  • Set and monitor individual and team KPIs (margin, volume, performance per trader)

Trading & Market Execution

  • Stay actively involved in key trading activities and high-value deals
  • Oversee pricing strategies, deal structures, and negotiation frameworks
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key suppliers and customers
  • Monitor international market dynamics and act decisively on opportunities


Performance & Operational Alignment

  • Take ownership of commercial KPIs including margin, stock rotation, and cash conversion
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations to ensure healthy inventory levels and risk management
  • Drive improvements in processes, systems, and reporting across the commercial organization


Management Team Contribution

  • Act as a key member of the Management Team
  • Contribute to company-wide strategy, planning, and decision-making
  • Co-develop annual plans, budgets, and long-term growth strategies
  • Align commercial direction with financial and operational realities

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in commercial leadership, trading or sales management
  • Proven track record in driving revenue and margin growth
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing teams
  • Highly analytical and commercially sharp. You understand numbers, margins, and risk
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, decisive, and opportunity-driven
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international trading environment
  • Fluent in English
