The role:
We're on
the lookout for a Purchase Manager to join our Wines
& Spirits division. As a Purchase Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our
procurement strategy. Your responsibilities will include identifying and
negotiating with international suppliers to secure high-quality liquor products
at competitive prices. You will build and maintain strong relationships with
distilleries, wholesalers, and distributors worldwide while ensuring that all
imports comply with legal requirements, including customs duties, labelling,
and licensing. Staying ahead of global industry trends, pricing shifts, and
emerging brands will be essential in making informed purchasing decisions. You
will also be responsible for managing budgets, optimizing costs, and
implementing risk mitigation strategies in international purchasing.
Additionally, coordinating with freight forwarders and warehouses will be key
to streamlining supply chain operations and ensuring efficient product flow. You
will work with worldwide known brands as Johnnie Walker, Absolut, Jack Daniels
and Moët & Chandon. Additionally, you'll represent our company at
various international business fairs.
To succeed
in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in
international liquor-related commercial positions. A strong understanding of
liquor import/export regulations, global trade policies, and market dynamics is
essential. You must have a proven track record of securing favourable contracts
and pricing with global suppliers, along with an analytical mindset to assess
supplier performance, analyse pricing trends, and optimize operational costs.
